I’m honored to announce that one of our songs has been included on the ‘Thirty One Songs’ compilation CD for the charity CALM.
It’s a collection of Manchester’s finest new and established artists including Noel Gallagher, Elbow, Delphic, I Am Kloot, Everything Everything, Dutch Uncles & loads more. The double disc release has been curated by the wonderful Dave Haslam and will be released on The Factory Foundation.
CALM (the Campaign Against Living Miserably) is a charity that offers young men professional advice, information and support when they’re down or in crisis. Suicide is consistently the biggest killer in men aged 15 - 35 in the UK. It helps via its helpline (0800 58 58 58) and its website (www.thecalmzone.net). The only trouble is the helpline only currently runs 4 days a week (Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues). The idea of ‘Thirty One Songs’ is to help the charity raise enough money to open 7 days a week from 5pm till midnight.

When we were asked to contribute a track by Dave we didn’t think twice about it. The thought of someones father, son, brother or friend taking his own life because they didn’t feel they had anywhere to go to talk is heart breaking. It’s important to help raise awareness of crucial charities like CALM, The Samartians (http://www.samaritans.org) and PAPYRUS (http://www.papyrus-uk.org) as they do amazing work helping out thousands of people every year.
In a very unstable world you never know when you might need someone to talk to, so please help all you can.

Hey guys,
Happy New Year from the four of us.
Tomorrow we’re heading off to South Wales with all our gear to set up camp in an old church for 10 days to work on our second album. It’ll be nice to get our heads clear without any distractions for a while.
After that we’re home for a week before we fly to Tokyo. Really excited to visit Tokyo and playing the gig but I’m really not looking forward to the flight. The longest I’ve been on a plane is Manchester to Philadelphia and I hated that so Amsterdam to Tokyo should be fun. Mines a gin & tonic KLM Airways.
